Specializing in Play Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Expressive Arts, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy,  Narrative Therapy, Social Skills, Relaxation, Stress Management and Yoga. 


Genett Tomko is a Licensed Child Therapist who has been working with young children and  their families in Arizona for the past 19 years.  Genett completed her Bachelors Degree in Psychology and her Masters Degree in Social Work at Arizona State University. Afterwards she completed a 2 year clinical training program focused on Infant/Toddler and Early Childhood Mental Health.  Genett was one of the first clinicians in the state of Arizona to earn an Endorsement as an Infant/Toddler Mental Health Specialist in 2009.  In addition, she has over 150 hours of training in Play Therapy.  Genett is a clinical supervisor at the Good Fit Counseling Center at SWHD where she has worked for the past 14 years. 

Genett serves on the Board of Director for the Infant/Toddler Mental Health Coalition of AZ where she is the Chair the Education and Training Committee for the past 10 years.   Genett previously volunteered for the Board of Directors  for the AZ Play Therapy Association for 6 years.  

Genett has presented at National Conferences and facilitated trainings on young children for the Play Therapy Association, Infant/Toddler Mental Health Coalition, Head Start, Crisis Nursery and many child care centers throughout Maricopa County.  

Genett is a trained Yoga Instructor and incorporates this practice as well as Mindfulness, deep breathing, and relaxation to create a Holistic approach to children's mental health and social/emotional development.
